Real Conversations, Real Presence: A New Approach to Manufacturer Representation

I felt a strong pull to start a manufacturer rep firm that gets back to the basics: showing up, sitting down, and having real conversations. For me, it’s always been about being in front of people, building trust, and keeping communication open and honest.

There are many great rep firms in our industry, but the way business is done has shifted dramatically since COVID. Offices closed, lunch-and-learns disappeared, and virtual meetings became the norm. While technology has its place, many of us are burned out on screens. What’s been missing is the energy and clarity that comes from being in the same room, seeing the product, asking real questions, and having meaningful dialogue.

Representation works best when reps are visible, engaged, and deeply knowledgeable. It’s about understanding the technology, knowing where it fits, and being honest about what truly serves the customer. Somewhere along the way, authenticity started to fade. AVL Alliance was created to bring it back, real people, real conversations, and real solutions.

I grew up in this industry spending the better part of 11 years as a freelance audio and lighting technician in the Phoenix metro area. That hands-on experience eventually led me to Clearwing Productions, where I spent nearly 16 years in a variety of sales and leadership roles. Those years shaped how I view relationships, teamwork, and long-term success.

When Clearwing became part of Clair Global, it marked an exciting new chapter for the company. For me personally, it clarified what I wanted next: returning to a smaller, highly focused sales and marketing environment where relationships and agility come first. AVL Alliance allows me to continue supporting the industry I care deeply about, while offering a different perspective and approach.

AVL Alliance is built for manufacturers who value presence, focus, and authentic representation. If you’re looking for a partner who will be in front of dealers and consultants, tell your story clearly, and represent your brand with integrity and intent, I’d welcome the conversation. Let’s get back to showing up, creating momentum, and building something that lasts together.
